FAQs

How early should I book my newborn session?

It’s never too early to book your newborn session. I recommend to book your newborn session early in your pregnancy, preferably in your second trimester to ensure that I will have a date open for you. I will make a provisional booking for 14 days around your due date, and I can adjust this if your baby arrives earlier or later.

Can I book a session if my baby has already arrived?

Yes! Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have already delivered the baby. While I may not guarantee availability within the recommended time-frame after your baby’s birth, I will do my best to schedule your session as soon as possible.

What is the best age to photograph my newborn baby?

Newborns are best photographed in the first two weeks, generally between 5-14 days old, as this is when they are very sleepy and easily settled and therefore most comfortable during the session. After that time-frame baby’s bones start to calcify, and become less flexible. If for some reason you didn’t manage to schedule your newborn session within the first 14 days, don’t get stressed, I will still be able to capture your baby in a beautiful way. Older babies may not go into some curly poses, but they are still adorable.

How long does the newborn session last?

Full newborn session lasts 3-4 hours allowing plenty of time for a variety of set-ups, as well as feeding, changing, and soothing, if required. I like to keep the session relaxed. Your baby is a priority throughout the entire session. So, the pace of the session is always determined by your baby. I will always follow your baby’s lead and I am not going to force your baby into a pose he/she doesn’t feel comfortable at.

The mini session In Parents’ Hands last 60-90 minutes.

Where will the newborn session take place?

All newborn sessions are held in the comfort of the clients’ home.

Are parents and siblings included in newborn sessions?

However, siblings can not participate in the mini sessions In Parents’ Hands. And only parents’ hands will be used during the session. Parents faces won’t be seen on the photographs.

What time of the day will my newborn session be held?

All newborn sessions are held in the morning. Usually the start time is 10 a.m.

Do I need to buy any props for the session?

For the Full Newborn session, I provide all props including blankets, beanies, wraps, shorts, throws, various baskets, and beanbag.
